Victoria’s Show Countdown

WITH three new rides for Team Supreme Products rider, Victoria Hesford is looking forward to the first shows of the season.

Loyal owner Clare Twiston-Davies has the Large Hack Whalton Forgery; Small Riding Horse Midnight Scoundrel; and Small Hack Maid in Manhattan for Victoria to ride and produce.

Under Gill Simpson’s ownership, Victoria has the Welsh Section B, Wortley Imagination and Dales, Kilmannan Black Wizard.

Said Victoria: The horses are coming on right now and it is only three weeks to my first show and Royal International Horse Show qualifier.

“As I have all new horses this year I feel quite nervous as to how they will behave with me.  Robert Walker, my brother in law and another Team Supreme Products member, has been showing Forgery and he really is a class act to follow.

“Cameron (Midnight Scoundrel) my Small Riding Horse is a dream to ride and seems very easy - famous last words!"

“My other new one is Hattie (Maid in Manhattan) she is a Small Hack and has had a very successful time in her previous yard so I hope I can do her justice.

“I will ride Cameron at the first show and probably Hattie and take Forgery to ride around just to see what he is like on a showground.

“Also I cannot manage a Small and Large Hack following on as I have no one to ride one in while I am in the ring.”

"We are getting the horses ready for the ring, preparing their coats with Supreme Products High Shine Shampoo, which strips away dust and dirt and produces a really healthy shine on the coat."

FOR SALE

Top class 14.2 Connemara: Lough Fadda Miller

Padraig is a 7 year old Registered Connemara gelding.

Sire: Coosheen Stormboy (Cloonisle Cashel and Grange Bobbing Sparrow Lines)

We have owned this much loved pony since the age of 3 years old and he is not only a true gentleman but he has been a pleasure to own.

Padraig is a true allrounder with an enthusiastic and loving character.

This is a heart breaking sale but due to a change in circumstances we no longer have a jockey for this young pony and it is only fair to let him go and further his career.

He is BSPS registered and is fit and ready for the season. 2011 was a successful season standing strong in many of his novice classes and in a small number of RIHS and HOYS qualifiers (Only once out of the ribbons).

Padraig has hunted; is cross country schooled; he thoroughly enjoys a job and is very keen over working hunter and coloured fences; he has jumped hedges, water and fillers.

He would really suit a combined flat / jumping home. He is bold and confident and currently jumping very sweetly around novice courses.

Very good on a day to day basis, loves hacking and going for trips on the lorry, a real team player!

A long term loving home is vital. Please no time wasters.

A Host of New Stars.......

Team Supreme Products rider and showman Robert Walker is looking forward to the 2012 season with a host of young horses to compete.

Two new young Middleweight Show Hunters for owner Jill Day are Potters St Patrick a chestnut youngster that came from well known in hand producer Moggie Hennessy and the dapple grey, Morning Mist who was shown very successfully in Ireland by Michael O’Callaghan, who also produced the lightweight Ballard Bouncer in hand.

Said Robert: “Another one we think a lot about is the large riding horse, Spotlight, also owned by Jill and by Power Blade.  He is out of a Cavalier mare and just stunning.

“Also chestnut, he is a very extravagant mover and won’t be pushed as I always have the future in mind.

“As well as many new horses for my great team of owners, I am also very excited about a new four-year-old I have bought myself.

“He is by the show jumping stallion Handel and just stunning.  He is as yet unnamed but is one to watch and will be a Heavyweight Show Hunter..

“The established horses will start in April, probably at the North of England Spring show at Osbaldeston with the first major aim being Royal Windsor.

“The novices are such an exceptional bunch that the last thing we will do is rush them, so we will just see how they progress and tie in the shows accordingly, in what we hope will be a successful year.”
