Supreme Products sponsor Sue-Helen Shuttleworth and Traditional Show Cobs

With husband Andrew, who is a farrier, Sue specialises in showing and breeding coloured and traditional horses.

Sue and Andrew bought Del Boy V - Derek as he is known at home - as a foal for his famous bloodlines and in his novice season in 2009 he finished fifth at HOYS.

In 2010 Derek started his Open career and the pair celebrated in style when winning their class and going on to stand Reserve Champion Coloured at HOYS 2010 to The Humdinger.

Sue currently has four horses to show this season, including the five-year-old stallion, Heartbreaker, who is also a traditional coloured and looks set to go far.

Said Sue:  “I am so excited to be joining the Supreme Products team and look forward to representing them in the showing arena. I  have used their products for many years and they really help create perfect presentation.

“The launch of the Supreme Products Heritage Collection, for natives and traditionals is a huge boost for us and shows just how much these types of horses and ponies are now respected in the showing world.”

This new sponsorship will see Sue’s team of horses benefitting from the many products available from Supreme Products, especially the Heritage Collection which is new for 2011..

‘We are delighted that Sue and Andy are joining the team’ says Sarah Turnbull of Supreme Products. ‘Sue is featured in our brochure and worked with us in the latter part of last year to help develop the new Heritage Collection. We are looking forward to developing the range further and increasing the products available over coming years.’

Josh Starts the Season in Style!

With the season underway we catch up with Supreme Products Amateur Competition winner, Emily Wells and her stunning grey Show Hunter Pony, Bolgoed Just Joshua, to find out how they are getting on.
Emily Wells and Josh
Said Emily: “Josh has begun his showing season a little later this year but has really started it with a bang. He has qualified for the Royal International on his first time out with my sister Florence in the saddle which is just brilliant.

“Florence and Josh also qualified for the Pretty Polly Show Hunter Pony at Patchetts and also won the first class of the day qualifying him for the BSPS Summer Championships, so we are on a roll and have our fingers crossed it continues.

“Josh is looking fabulous as always and really did his stuff for the judges!  We are really pleased with him and couldn’t ask for more.

“We had a very quiet winter only taking Josh to a couple of small shows where he did really well and still looked fantastic even in the cold and the wind. We’ve been having lots of fun with Josh outside of the show ring and can’t wait to get started with the side saddle and the part bred classes.

“If we continue the season as we have begun it the champagne won’t stop flowing. We want to say a huge thank you to Supreme Products for their amazing products which help us turn Josh into showing perfection every time.”

Dominic and Morris Win Makeover with Emmersons Show Team

EIGHT-year-old Dominic Murray and his pony Morris were the lucky winners of a showing makeover with top producers the Emmersons Show Team thanks to their sponsor Supreme Products.

Dominic was nominated by a family friend for the competition after saying he was one of the nicest riders and his pony Morris was a kind and lovely pony, both deserving to win the competition in Showing World magazine.

Dominic and Morris, known as Dalston Morris Dancer in the ring, travelled from Nottingham for the afternoon, when Sarah, Peter and Claire Emmerson transformed Morris in to a show ring superstar.

Peter pulled Morris’ mane and tail, before Claire set to plaiting and Sarah made sure his socks were whiter than white thanks to Supreme Products Leg & Body Whitener.

Claire’s finishing touches adding Supreme Products Highlighter Gloss and Supreme Products Make Up around his eyes and muzzle really enhanced the overall picture, before Sarah added Supreme Products Black Hoof Paint and they were ready for the ring.
A well turned out Morris and Dominic with Peter Emmerson
Peter and Sarah also provided advice on the correct show tack to use and how Dominic’s showing gear could be improved slightly to make sure they were providing the perfect picture in the ring.

Dominic currently competes at local level and this will be his first year off the lead rein so the next stage was for Sarah to help him perfect his show.

Said mum Angie: “Dominic and Morris have been really successful in lead rein classes at local level, but this will be their first season in First Ridden classes so Sarah’s help has come at just the right time.

“It was a brilliant day and we learned so much from how to present Morris better and the final tweaks we need to do to Dominic’s jacket and jodhpurs to really aim for perfection.

“Learning how the Supreme Products Professional Collection can help with those finishing touches was fascinating and we definitely came away with a lot of extra knowledge.”

Jessica and Aiskarose are Turned Out to Perfection

JUST six-weeks into their new partnership 20-year-old Jessica Anderson and her coloured-mare Aiskarose headed to the Emmerson Show Team’s yard in North Yorkshire for a showing makeover.

Jessica and Kisska on arrival

Jessica won the chance to learn from their many years of experience after winning the Supreme Products competition in The Native Pony magazine.

Based in Hexham, Northumberland, Jessica and the five-year-old Kisska as she is known at home, were given a fantastic day learning all the tricks of the trade and how to use the Supreme Products Professional Collection .

Sponsored by Supreme Products, Sarah, Peter and Claire Emmerson set to work on the mare showing Jessica along the way how to plait, trim and produce Kisska ready for the ring.

Jessica, who has been riding since she was three, has only owned Aiskarose for a few weeks but will be aiming for HOYS this year in the Non-Native Coloured classes.

Said Jessica: “I had a great time at the Emmersons, Kisska is a lovely pony but thanks to their advice and help she looked amazing.

“The plaits were just brilliant and I even had a go myself, but couldn’t follow Claire, her plaits were outstanding.

“Sarah set to and washed any stains on Kisska that she could find, and the Supreme Products Blue Shampoo made a massive difference really bringing out her white patches.

“Peter tidied up Kisska’s tail and we then used Supreme Products Detangle & Shine, followed by Supreme Products Sparkle so that it looked ready for the biggest occasion.

“From when we arrived to when the team had finished there was a massive transformation.  It was a brilliant day and I would like to thank everyone involved.”
