Meet our sponsored riders......
Robert and Sarah Walker
Leading showman Robert Walker and his wife Sarah are based in Cotebroke, Cheshire with their son Sam.
Robert and Sarah produce and ride a wide range of horses from hacks to riding horses, cobs and hunters with great success.
Robert started riding at a young age and progressed from local gymkhanas to county shows. His showing career really took off at the age of 17 when he caught the attention of several owners at the Royal International Horse Show.
Since that day Robert has achieve phenomenal success in the show ring with a host of supreme championships at county shows, the RIHS and HOYS. Two of Robert’s greatest achievements include clinching the Supreme Horse title at the Horse of the Year Show in 2006 and 2007 on So Smart and Broadstone Daulton.
Team Walker had another successful season in 2009 with two wins at the RIHS with the middleweight hunter Pride and Joy and heavyweight hunter Manton before standing reserve champion with Pride and Joy. The talented bay gelding then went on to head the middleweight hunter championship at HOYS and take the reserve spot at the end of the season.
Robert’s other passion is hunting. Throughout the winter Robert performs his duties as Joint Master of the Cheshire Hunt.
Robert and Sarah have some very exciting prospects for the year ahead as well as the established campaigners. Robert has won every major championship around the country bar one. He is yet to claim the Hunter Championship at HOYS, in 2008 and 2009 he took the reserve spot, so will 2010 be the year Robert claims the only title that has eluded him for so long?
