Vanita set for Small Tour

TEAM Supreme Products dressage rider and trainer, Hannah Esberger-Shepherd has a stable full of horses to compete and train throughout 2012.

Hannah is also busy training and teaching young riders on the next step of the dressage ladder.

Hannah’s rides include Vanita – Jazz x Pion – a 16.1hh liver chestnut, nine-year-old who is campaigning Small Tour this year and will be Intermediare 11 at the end of the year with the plan of Grand Prix next spring.

Says Hannah: “He is an amazing horse with all the ability to go to the top so we are all very excited about him and taking it one step at a time.”

Belluga - Brietling x Donnerhall – is a 16hh bright chestnut, eight-year-old.  Hannah has recently sold him to a pupil who is keeping him at the yard.  Belluga is at Prix St Georges level but they will enjoy the lower level at first until they get to know each other.

Hannah’s pupil Laura Woodcock has taken on the ride of Rubin - Rubin Star x Hitchcock.  He is a 16hh, dark bay, 13-year-old competing at Small Tour.  Laura is gaining experience on him in a bid to make it on to the Junior Team.

Welkom - Jazz x Amor – will be ridden by Hannah.  He is a 16.3hh, very dark bay, nine-year-old gelding competing at Medium and Advanced Medium.

Hannah is very excited about Sirocco - Sandro Hit x Florencio – a 16hh, dark bay, five-year-old.

Adds Hannah:  “Sirocco feels like he will go to Grand Prix and will be out competing in young horse classes this year.”

Then there is Joey, the 11hh welsh pony ridden by Hannah’s daughter Molly who will be out at Pony Club rallies and shows, Potter, a 14.2hh, four-year-old pony in training this year and showing the temperament and potential to be a team pony prospect.

Rounding off the team is Tantalize, the Totillas foal who is growing up and becoming quite a character.

Back to Business for Hannah!

Jamie, Molly and I got back from a lovely relaxing holiday two weeks ago. We had a great time spending some quality together.

Now it is back to the yard and back to the horses. I have been busy working the horses and I have really felt the stiffness in my muscles. It is funny how soon they forget how to work don't they?

We have been to Field House at Uttoxeter with Belluga and Vanita.  Belluga won both the Medium classes and Vanita won the Advanced Medium. Unlike me the break did the boys good and both have now qualified for these levels.

We are going to try our hand at 'Music'. Belluga will compete in the Medium and Welkom in the Elementary. Belluga is using his original Elementary music so on Monday we had to convert our test to a medium floor pattern. This can often be a task, but it just fell together.

We hope that is a good sign! Catch the next update to see how we get on.

Supreme Products Sponsored Rider, Hannah Esberger-Shepherd, on Winning Form

Supreme Products sponsored dressage rider Hannah Esberger-Shepherd hit top form recently winning all four classes she competed in at Vale View in Leicestershire.

Hannah was delighted with her two rides Vanita and Rubin who were both showing great style.

Hannah said: 'It was just one of those days when everything went to plan. Four classes and four wins, we were all over the moon.

'Vanita won both Mediums with 72% and 69% and Rubin won his first PSG with 69% and also took the Advanced Medium class with 70%. It certainly made an early start worth all the effort.'

Hannah has also qualified Rubin and Beluga for the Summer Regional Finals after good performaces at Weston Lawns in Warwickshire. The team now head for the Winter Championships at Hartpury this week.
